Dallin Van Leuven

Dallin joined the IIJ in July 2020 as the Programme Manager for the Academic Unit, where he manages the Unit’s portfolio of courses and research tasks. From 2016, Dallin was a researcher and programme manager for Search for Common Ground, focusing on the organisation’s countering violent extremism (CVE) portfolio. He has authored several research studies on violent extremism as well as a book chapter on ISIL’s unprecedented use of gendered strategies to recruit foreign men and women, which was published in Foreign Fighters under International Law and Beyond. He has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a degree in justice studies from Westminster College.
