Adria De Landri

Resident Fellow

Adria joined the IIJ as a Resident Fellow in the Academic Unit in 2021 and is responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge courses to effectively counter terrorism and transnational crime, as well as developing the IIJ’s Research Agenda. Prior to joining the IIJ, she served as a Legal Officer at the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate, which is responsible for assessing Member States’ implementation of Security Council counter-terrorism resolutions. In this capacity, she organized visits to Member States and presented findings to the Counter-Terrorism Committee, reviewed domestic legislation in a variety of jurisdictions to verify compliance with Security Council Resolutions, provided authoritative legal advice on diverse legal and counter-terrorism matters of high complexity, and conducted numerous technical assistance projects for judicial and law enforcement officials on a variety of topics related to terrorism, terrorism financing and other complex crimes.

Adria also served as an Assistant US Attorney in New York with the US Department of Justice where she worked on hundreds of cases in various areas of federal law enforcement, including narcotics, organized crime, money laundering, tax and other financial crimes.
